Soft Matter

Two-Bedroom Home • 140 sqm • Bucuresti • 2025

This apartment was designed as a warm and refined home for a young couple seeking a space that feels both contemporary and timeless. The design balances soft comfort with a subtle sense of heritage, creating an interior that feels calm, elegant and quietly sophisticated.

The architectural language of the apartment was carefully composed through discreet moldings, generous proportions and a calm spatial rhythm, forming a refined framework for the interior. Within this structure, curved forms appear as a recurring theme. From the floating vanity and rounded mirrors to the gentle transitions between walls and ceilings, these gestures soften the geometry of the space and create a fluid continuity between rooms.

The material palette focuses on warmth and tactility. Natural wood, marble surfaces and soft textiles are layered with peach-toned ceramics and brushed brass details, building an atmosphere that feels both cozy and polished.

Lighting plays a defining role throughout the apartment. Indirect light traces architectural lines and highlights the sculptural curves, gently transforming the mood of the spaces from day to evening.

The result is an interior that feels intimate yet elegant — a home where contemporary living meets a quiet sense of timeless refinement.
